Public Talk: Anna Miles

As part of their Letting Space project Shopfront in Station Square, Newmarket the Suburban Floral Association are pleased to present a talk by Anna Miles. Anna will speak about her interest in the invented and imaginary world of flowers on textiles at 6.30pm on Wednesday 16th March.
Anna established her own gallery in 2003 (www.annamilesgallery.com). She teaches part time in the School of Art & Design at AUT. A number of exhibitions she has curated reflect her interest in the decorative arts including Bespoke: The Pervasiveness of the Handmade (Objectspace, 2006) and A Lace Life: The Alwynne Crowsen Collection (Objectspace, 2008).
Given Newmarket Station is on Shopfront's doorstep, Letting Space and the Association are encouraging the public to take the train to Station Square for Shopfront events. Go to www.maxx.co.nz for train times.
